Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Network & Security Engineer with a passion for automation and modern infrastructure to support our rapidly growing business. You’ll lead initiatives across Fortinet security platforms, Dell and Cisco networking, SD-WAN, and site-to-site connectivity - while contributing to automation, containerization, and scalable Wi-Fi deployments across multiple sites.

 

This role requires strong hands-on experience with firewalls, dynamic routing, and scripting for network

automation, along with knowledge of Linux and containers in a production environment. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring secure, high-performance connectivity across our operations.

 Primary Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and security policies across distributed sitesConfigure and maintain Dell and Cisco networking hardware (switches, routers, WAPs) across LAN/WAN environmentsDevelop and maintain Python scripts and automation tools for network configuration, monitoring, and reportingSupport and troubleshoot OSPF and BGP routing between sites and partnersDeploy and manage secure VPNs for remote access and site-to-site connectivityImplement Wi-Fi network designs for multi-site environments, ensuring reliability, coverage, and securityManage Wi-Fi controllers, SSID policies, guest access, and wireless performance analyticsSupport Linux-based network services, containerized apps (e.g., Docker), and automation pipelinesCollaborate on infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for network configurations and reproducibilityMonitor and respond to network security events and support incident responseMaintain clear network documentation, diagrams, and change logsTravel regularly to support infrastructure at FGF Brands facilities (Ontario and beyond)

 

Required Experience

 

5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and security rolesStrong experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and security appliancesProficient with Cisco and Dell switch/router configurations (CLI required)Deep understanding of OSPF, BGP, and dynamic routing behavior in enterprise networksExperience with Python for automation, scripting, or network management APIsSolid Linux experience (Ubuntu/RHEL-based) and basic shell scriptingFamiliarity with containers and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes basics)Experience designing and configuring Wi-Fi networks (multi-site, controller-based, and WPA2/3 policies)Knowledge of NAT, ACLs, VLAN segmentation, and Layer 3 firewallingExperience with SD-WAN, preferably Fortinet Secure SD-WANCertifications such as Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNP, or CompTIA Network+/Security+ are strong assetsStrong documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skillsMust be able and willing to travel between sites as needed
