Position Summary:
This position performs the leadership, programming, and analysis required to develop the architecture given for an enterprise mobile application solution. It requires participation in the gathering and compilation of technical requirements and materials for the following work-related tasks; scope of work definition, project documentation, design specification documents, functional requirements, work effort estimations and other development related deliverables as deemed necessary. Supports the IT team as a technical expert for mobile applications, Information Systems development projects, product integration projects and work requests. Becomes a mentor to junior members of the development and testing team. Supports the development of complex programming or integrations for mobile solutions and leads projects in support of these efforts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Mobile application software developer focused on the improvement of Mohegan casino property mobile applications with increasing mobile user adoption and retention, through the guest experience in app useLead technical requirements with cross functional teams and vendors to continuously update the roadmap for mobile application functionality and business needAdheres to standards of analysis, coding, naming conventions and system level documentation as defined by Mohegan, including SDLC and Change ManagementAnalyzes enterprise business trends and strategies, as well as change requirements in other architectural viewpoints, to derive the correct requirements to guide the future software solution portfoliosAdheres to the best practices for architecture standards, source code control, production control, and the standards of production system access as defined by MoheganWorks using Agile methodologies with little or no supervision on complex programming and integration mobile projectsParticipates in or conducts testing including but not limited to unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, system testing or user acceptance testing as requiredAcquires and demonstrates a working knowledge of key business systems that are in use at MoheganDocuments and protects Mohegan’s intellectual property as requiredProvides Level 1, 2 or 3 level support as a programming resource as requiredSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Promotes Mohegan’s ideology through a thorough understanding and implementation of its core values and core purposesMust be able to support applications that are running in a 7 X 24 X 365 enterprise environmentMaintains accurate time reports for his or her activities according to Mohegan Information Systems policies Required to carry a cell phone and be on call either on a permanent or rotated schedule shared with othersResponsible for enforcing the privacy rules pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as applicable to Mohegan SunProvides enterprise-wide support as neededPerforms other duties as assignedPromotes superior customer serviceMinimum Education and Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, with five years’ work experience in a company setting responsible for development in one or more of the following languages: Springboot, Angular, SQL, XML, JAVA, .Net, JavaScipt or other necessary programming languagesFive years of programming experience must be in a company environment supporting enterprise level applications with greater than 5,000 employeesExperience with mobile application development a must, Native Android/iOS languages Java, Kotlin, Swift, Cross-Platform Flutter Dart, React Native JavaScript, VS Code IDEUnderstanding of all core web technologies such as XML, HTML, CSS, JQuery, XHTML, JSP, REST web services, Tag libraries, JSTLUnderstanding of CI/CD and tools used such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Ansible, Docker, Linux, etc.Proficient with Service Oriented Architecture, Test Driven Development processes and the tools used such as REST, SOAP, WSDL, SWAGGER, rmal, JUNIT, SoapUI, LoadUI, etc.Understanding of web architecture concepts such as Responsive Web Design, sessions, cache, and cookiesGood understanding of content publishing, development life cycles, code delivery processes, Automated Testing, DevOps and Agile project ManagementProficient in debugging issues and capable of providing solutionsKnowledge of W3C standards, SEO principles, ADA requirements for websitesSource Control including GIT and BitbucketExcellent written and verbal communication skillsObtain and maintain at least one or more applicable gaming licenses in multiple jurisdictionsCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
