We are seeking a Merchant Enablement Program Manager III to drive strategic enablement initiatives that support merchandising teams across tools, technology, and special projects. This role will serve as the primary point for complex enablement programs and act as a business resource in merchandising enablement expertise. You will engage cross-functionally with stakeholders across Whole Foods Market and Amazon to develop and implement frameworks, processes, and strategies that enhance merchant effectiveness and operational excellence across the Merchandising
organization.
Location: This role is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of five days per week in the Store Support office.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end program management for complex, business-critical merchandising enablement initiatives from initiation through delivery, including tools adoption, technology implementation, and special project coordination.
• Serve as an escalation point for enablement program teams, providing strategic guidance and removing blockers to ensure successful delivery.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify enablement needs related to tools, technology platforms, and process improvements across the organization.
• Collaborate with Learning and Development (L&D) to design and deliver training programs that support merchant proficiency in new tools, systems, and processes.
• Oversee business readiness assessments, resource planning, and program sequencing (workback schedules/key milestones) to optimize implementation of merchandising tools and technology.
• Establish and drive best practices in execution, communication, project management, and performance measurement for enablement programs.
• Conduct post-launch evaluations to assess tool adoption, identify usage trends, and refine future enablement strategies.
• Deliver clear, concise updates to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency across merchandising leadership.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks in tool rollouts and technology implementations, implementing contingency plans as needed.
• Author detailed program plans and documentation to obtain leadership buy-in for enablement initiatives.
• Support change management efforts related to merchandising tools, technology transitions, and process enhancements.
• Act as a business resource and subject matter expert in merchandising enablement, frequently called upon to provide guidance on complex initiatives.
