Actalent is in search for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with prominent design experience who is self-directed and work with technical teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with architects, owners, and engineers to develop project plans including scope, budget, and timeline.Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify risks and limitations.Assist in the design of projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones.Monitor and track project progress; identify and mitigate any issues or risks.Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction activities comply with plans and quality standards.Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure specifications are met.Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with best practices.Prepare and maintain project documents, including progress reports and meeting notes.Collaborate with project teams on post‑construction reviews and lessons learned.Provide guidance and technical support to multi‑discipline teams.Promote communication and knowledge sharing within the project team.Mentor and develop junior engineers.Serve as a subject matter expert during project meetings and presentations.WHAT YOU'LL BRING – REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, preferably mechanical engineering or building services.8+ years of experience in MEP design consulting.Advanced knowledge of building industry codes and standards.Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.WHAT YOU'LL BRING – PREFERRED
Licensed Professional Engineer.LEED® Accreditation.Working knowledge of Autodesk® REVIT.Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $44.98 - $64.18/hr.
