Job DescriptionPOSITION OVERVIEW
We invite applications from experienced Senior Medical Technologists to support laboratory operations across disciplines such as Biochemistry, Haematology, Immunology, Serology, Molecular Diagnostics, and Microbiology. You will perform complex testing, support quality systems, supervise junior staff, and ensure smooth daily operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform, validate, and troubleshoot laboratory tests and analytical instrumentsMaintain SOP compliance, safety standards, and accurate reporting (incl. critical values)Train, guide, and orientate junior staffSupport quality assurance, documentation, and continuous improvement initiativesAssist with workflow optimisation, specimen protocols, and LIS operationsParticipate in regulatory and accreditation audits (MOH, CAP)Any other duties as assigned by Laboratory Manager.Section Leader Responsibilities (when appointed)
Lead day-to-day operations of the assigned laboratory sectionEnsure quality, efficiency, and regulatory complianceDevelop and maintain section SOPs and workflowsOversee inventory, equipment performance, and vendor coordinationSupport staff training, competency, and team performanceLead evaluation and validation of new testsCoordinate section‑related audits and accreditation activitiesQualificationsREQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, or equivalentMinimum 7 years of clinical laboratory experience preferredStrong technical skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Professional integrity, service‑oriented mindset, and ability to adapt to change.Good general health; no colour blindness.Perform shift duties as required.WHY JOIN US?
