Primary Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvides strategic direction, professional oversight, and leadership throughout medical and clinical operations.Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and implement strategies that align with healthcare objectives, drive innovation, and improve patient outcomes.Leverages medical expertise to develop and align the company's goals, objectives, and vision with healthcare industry trends, patient needs, and regulatory requirements.Collaborates with executives, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to shape and drive the medical strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and patient-centered care.Establishes care coordination standards and oversees clinical governance structures to ensure patient safety and the provision of quality care.Stays updated on relevant evidence-based studies, industry standards, and regulatory changes to ensure constant organizational compliance.Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, such as government agencies, insurance providers, and professional organizations, to advocate for the company and contribute to industry advancements.Develops and continuously monitors key metrics to assess the performance of strategic initiatives, making adjustments as needed.Provides mentorship, professional development opportunities, and support to physicians, promoting their growth and ensuring a cohesive and skilled medical team.EducationM.D. or D.O. required, Current and Active Board Certification in ABMS or AOA recognized specialty, including post-graduate direct patient care experiencePrior Relevant Work Experience5+ years of experience providing direct patient care.Essential QualificationsApplicable, current state medical license without encumbrances requiredBoard certification in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, orPrior Utilization Management (UM) experience working at Health Plan / Insurer or experience as a Physician Advisor or working for an Independent Review Organization a Plus +Adept at problem solving and decision making skillsMastery multi-tasking abilities with the ability to handle competing deadlines; flexible and adaptable.Ability to deal tactfully with customers and community.Mastery communication skills used to lead a team.Mastery execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skillsAbility to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Ability to function in clinical setting with diverse cultural dynamics of clinical staff and patients.Mastery knowledge of phases of care transitions and resources available for patients.Mastery knowledge of digital literacy skills.Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly.Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$184,112.00 - $396,550.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
