An established and growing medical device startup in **Eden Prairie, MN** is looking for a **Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager** to lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative medical products—spanning both capital equipment and disposable devices.
**Job Title:** Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager
**Location:** Eden Prairie, MN
**Salary:** 130-170k + bonus
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Provide technical leadership and hands-on support across mechanical engineering efforts—from early concept through commercialization.
+ Mentor and manage a small internal engineering team, while coordinating with contract resources as needed to flex with project demands.
+ Lead and contribute to prototyping, testing, and iteration cycles in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.
+ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, clinical, manufacturing, quality, regulatory) to ensure product and business success.
+ Drive execution with strong organizational discipline and project ownership.
**What We’re Looking For:**
+ **Bachelor’s degree** in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; **Master’s degree preferred** .
+ **7–10+ years** of progressive experience in mechanical product development is required
+ Proven track record in **medical device development** , ideally including both **capital equipment and disposable products** .
+ Demonstrated ability to thrive in **startup-like environments** —self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity.
+ Strong **prototyping skills** , with a willingness to be hands-on in the lab and iterate quickly.
+ Experience managing small teams and working with external design and manufacturing partners.
+ Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
