Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting expanding programs, including a newly awarded customer contract that has significantly increased the engineering workload. This position is essential for enabling timely execution of new and existing programs, contributing across the entire product lifecycle from concept development to engineering release, tolerancing, documentation, analysis, integration, and hands-on testing.
Responsibilities
Support both domestic and international customers with focus on specific product lines.Restart a previously paused program, providing expertise in tolerance stack-ups, detailed documentation, and mechanical analysis.Participate directly in integration and testing, including thermal testing and report writing.Work onsite with the existing test team, showcasing hands-on abilities with engines and powertrain environments.Own larger assemblies, troubleshoot issues on complex systems, and confidently interface with customers, vendors, and cross-functional internal teams.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience, with a preference for 10+ years.SolidWorks expertise.Strong experience with engineering drawings, design packages, and assembly documentation.Ability to perform classical engineering analysis and simulations on components and product designs.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Project, and related applications.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is a bonus.Background supporting military or dual-use programs, or experience with airworthiness standards like MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461.Experience with complex machinery, multi-hundred-part BOMs, and familiarity with domestic manufacturing environments.Experience in test engineering, aerospace, mil standards, machine shop, powertrain, engines, thermal testing, AS9100, and prototyping.Work Environment
This role offers a dynamic, broad-based mechanical engineering experience, blending office work with hands-on shop environment activities. The position involves design, analysis, prototyping, testing, and requires adherence to AS9100, printed procedures, and ITAR requirements.
Candidates local to the Portland Metro region will be heavily prioritized and must be available to start work by March.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
