Mechanical Engineer, PE 100% Remote | East Coast or Central Time Zones Preferred Build the Infrastructure That Powers America We’re looking for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) who’s ready to take the lead on complex, high‑impact projects in the midstream natural gas industry. As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll design and engineer natural gas piping systems and compressor/metering stations that keep energy moving safely and reliably across the country—all while working 100% remotely. If you enjoy owning technical decisions, mentoring others, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on real‑world infrastructure projects, this role was built for you What You’ll Do + Lead from Concept to Completion + Own mechanical engineering scope across the full project lifecycle—from early feasibility through construction support and closeout. + Design with Purpose and Precision + Develop calculations, specifications, and drawings that meet industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for pipeline and facilities projects. + Be a Technical Leader + Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior engineers and designers, elevating team performance and engineering quality. + Drive Project Success + Partner closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to define scope, manage schedules and budgets, and resolve technical challenges. + Manage Risk & Reliability + Perform feasibility studies, decommissioning evaluations, and risk assessments to ensure safe, compliant designs. + Interface with Vendors & Clients + Review vendor proposals and technical submittals, respond to technical inquiries, and support approvals with clients and regulatory agencies. + Collaborate & Innovate + Participate in design reviews, HAZOP/HAZID sessions, and project meetings to continuously improve safety, quality, and efficiency. What You Bring + Professional Engineer (PE) license + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) + 8+ years of mechanical or project engineering experience in the oil & gas industry + Strong experience with pipeline facilities, compressor stations, and metering stations + Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor, CADWorx, P&ID, and Navisworks Nice to Have + Consulting or EPC experience + Deep familiarity with midstream facilities and regulatory environments Work Environment + 100% Remote (Eastern or Central Time Zones preferred) + Occasional travel to project sites as needed + High autonomy with strong team collaboration Why You’ll Love Working Here + Work that matters — your designs directly support critical energy infrastructure + True remote flexibility — no commute, no relocation + Leadership impact — guide projects and mentor engineers + Supportive, high‑performing team — technical excellence without bureaucracy Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Houston, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $85.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
