Job Description

The Senior Mechanical Designer serves as the primary engineering authority on high-visibility initiatives. This role involves creating and refining technical models and tooling essential for seamless operational execution, collaborating with program leadership and growth teams to develop accurate project estimates and proposals, providing guidance, oversight, and mentorship to early-career engineers, and assisting in coordinating timelines and resource allocation across active projects.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary engineering authority on high-visibility initiatives.Create and refine technical models and tooling essential for seamless operational execution.Collaborate with program leadership and growth teams to develop accurate project estimates and proposals.Provide guidance, oversight, and mentorship to early-career engineers.Assist in coordinating timelines and resource allocation across active projects.

Essential Skills

Proficient in SolidWorks; CREO and CATIA are nice to have.Expertise in mechanical design and tooling & product design.Experience in composite materials, aerospace, and MIL-STD.Deep familiarity with core mechanical principles, fundamentals, and engineering methodologies.Skilled in 3D modeling and design platforms, including PTC Creo and SolidWorks.Competent in Microsoft Office applications and commonly used engineering software suites.Proven ability to balance several concurrent initiatives and deliver results in a fast-moving environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.A minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience is required.Background working with composite materials is highly advantageous.Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking and troubleshooting, with a focus on informed, data-backed decision-making.Experience with CATIA is beneficial.Must meet ITAR requirements for U.S. Person status.Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Stow, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
