Senior Mechanical Architect
Job Description SummaryThe Senior Mechanical Architect serves as a key technical leader within the organization, acting as a subsystem, functional, or product architect. This role provides expert guidance to engineering and development teams across a wide range of technical domains. The Senior Mechanical Architect helps shape product direction, ensures high‑quality design execution, and drives innovation and congruence across product lines.

Job DescriptionResponsibilities

Manage design evolution across multi‑generation product releases.

Provide deep technical and clinical expertise to support innovation and quality improvement initiatives.

Develop subsystem roadmaps using knowledge of product technologies, platforms, architectures, and engineering principles.

Lead subsystem technical teams throughout the full design cycle, including requirements development, design, implementation, verification, and validation, serving as the primary technical mentor.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives to advance process and product quality.

Ensure regulatory and quality requirements are satisfied prior to approval of design outputs and program deliverables.

Comply with applicable Quality Management System requirements, policies, and training.

Identify, communicate, and resolve quality or compliance issues promptly.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field

7 years relative engineering experience

Practical experience in engineering product development processes on cross-functional programs with a focus on related engineering discipline

Familiarity with Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) and Inventory Carrying Value (ICV)

Desired Characteristics

Demonstrated ability to influence product leadership and product direction through action-oriented recommendations based on technology strategy and risk retirement
