With 2023 revenues of $20\.4 billion, we are a Fortune 500 company who is committed to providing an inclusive work environment with continuous learning opportunities and development for our teams\. **GENERAL PURPOSE:** The Senior Marketing Data Analyst plays a key role in driving data\-driven decisions across the Marketing organization\. This position is responsible for analyzing the performance of advertising campaigns, overall brand health and perception, and delivering insights that improve marketing effectiveness and ROI, for both the Ross and dd's discounts brands\. In this role, you'll be a trusted analytics expert for the Marketing team, uncovering trends, optimizing marketing investments, and supporting strategic initiatives\. You'll also contribute to high\-visibility projects, including regular reporting shared with our CEO & COO\. The base salary range for this role is $77,900 \- $117,050\. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location\. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees\. Other rewards vary by position and location\. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** **Drive Strategic Marketing Analysis** • Support development of key marketing KPIs based on marketing objectives and develop measurement strategies that deliver clear, actionable insights to drive marketing performance\. • Analyze campaign performance and uncover trends across channels including TV, streaming TV and audio, social media, mobile, web, email, and influencer marketing\. • Create summary materials \(e\.g\., Excel reports, dashboards, presentations\) that connect findings to broader business goals\. • Anticipate analytical needs and proactively explore opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness, such as identifying new tools and new analysis\. **Develop and Manage Marketing Reporting** • Design and deliver recurring reports \(monthly, quarterly, ad hoc\) • Build and maintain databases to support accurate and timely reporting\. • Maintain and update the biweekly Marketing performance dashboard for the CEO, ensuring clarity and strategic relevance\. **Support Marketing Mix Model Analysis** • Maintain MMM model inputs and outputs using Excel and internal data systems\. • Collaborate with external consulting partners to troubleshoot data issues and ensure accuracy\. • Analyze model results to generate insights that inform marketing investment decisions\. **Analyze Customer Data and Audience Insights** • Analyze customer data to develop audience segmentations that inform targeted advertising strategies\. • Apply segmentation insights to improve campaign targeting, personalization, and performance\. • Set up and manage customer data transfers between systems\. • Access and extract data from large customer databases using SQL or drag\-and\-drop query tools\. **Conduct Social Listening & Sentiment Analysis** • Use Brandwatch or other social listening tools to monitor brand sentiment, track campaign performance across social platforms, provide early alerts for potential brand reputation issues, and identify product assortment insights\. • Summarize findings to guide messaging, engagement, and reputation management strategies\. **Collaborate Across Teams and Manage Projects** • Partner with cross\-functional teams to gather data and align on goals\. • Support project management tasks such as maintaining work plans, taking notes, and documenting next steps\. • Participate in regular meetings and contribute to cross\-functional initiatives\. **Continuously Improve Processes and Tools** • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and increase efficiency in reporting and analysis\. • Explore and apply new tools and techniques, such as automation and data visualization\. • Stay current with emerging analytics technologies and best practices\. **Build Business and Channel Expertise** • Develop a strong understanding of the Ross and dd's businesses and customer segments\. • Learn the roles and strategies of various marketing channels and agency partners\. • Apply business context to ensure insights are relevant and actionable\. **COMPETENCIES:** **People** • Collaboration **Self** • Leading by Example • Communicates Effectively • Ensures Accountability and Execution • Manages Conflict **Business** • Business Acumen • Plans, Aligns and Prioritizes • Organizational Agility **With particular emphasis on the following specific position\-related competencies:** • Analytical Proficiency • Attention to Detail • Problem Solving • Strategic Insight Delivery **QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:** • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field \(e\.g\., Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Data Science, Management Science, or related field\)\. • 5 years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical role\. • Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups/matches, and advanced formulas\. • Excellent attention to detail and a strong drive to ensure data accuracy\. • Data driven approach to solving problems and making decisions\. • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, adapt to changing priorities, and focus on the most important work\. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis to both technical and non\-technical audiences\. • Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights \- do we want to say anything about specific skillsets • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively; able to build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of the organization\. **PREFERRED SKILLS:** • Experience in retail, marketing, or a consumer\-facing industry\. • Familiarity with marketing platforms \(e\.g\., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite\)\. • Proficiency working with PowerPoint or Google Slides\. • Familiarity with data analytics tools \(e\.g\., SQL, Python\) helpful but not required\. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:** This position requires the ability to work in an office environment, including using a computer, attending meetings, working as part of a team, and the ability to communicate with team members and others\. Regular attendance also is a requirement of the position\.
