Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering

And we do it all with heart, each and every day. **Position Summary:** This Senior Software Development Engineer will be responsible for developing strategy for software development projects, defining project requirements, timelines, and deliverables to drive effective execution. You will facilitate risk assessments by troubleshooting production issues, assessing available resources, and providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime. You will also be directing a department throughout the software development life cycle operations, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. This position will also collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, including product managers and business stakeholders, aligning priorities, resolving conflicts, and maintaining productive relationships. **Additional Responsibilities:** + Research and evaluate the latest software development technologies, methodologies, and industry trends, capitalizing on innovative technology solutions and integrating best options + Deliver expert technical guidance, makes informed decisions, and supports the team when faced with complex challenges + Hire software development engineers, conducts performance reviews, and fosters a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes continuous learning opportunities **Required Qualifications:** + 7+ years experience in one of .Net or C# + 5+ years of experience in Visual Studio, SQL Explorer, Perforce, TeamCity, GitHub or Octopus + 3+ years of experience in various Safe agile practices **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience directing activities for a team of software development engineers, providing guidance and mentorship, and setting performance goals to contribute to the company's business objectives + Experience leading projects + Experience in Medicaid and Provider payment systems + Software Engineering Master Certification (SEMC) preferred + Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) preferred **Education:** Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience) **Pay Range** The typical pay range for this role is: $118,450.00 - $236,900.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
