**Position Summary**
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery across complex, cross-functional technology and business initiatives. This role will oversee Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) operations for a designated project, application, or domain team, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals. The Senior Manager will also mentor and coach development managers and team leads in Agile methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance throughout the development lifecycle.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure team alignment and momentum
+ Proactively identify and remove impediments to maintain team productivity and focus
+ Foster strong partnerships between development teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders
+ Champion the effective implementation of Scrum practices and Agile principles across teams
+ Analyze Agile metrics to track team progress, velocity, and quality; provide actionable insights for improvement
+ Guide teams and leaders in adopting Agile mindsets, self-organization, and continuous learning
+ Design evaluation tools to assess Scrum maturity and process effectiveness
+ Develop communication strategies to gather feedback and drive process enhancements
+ Implement systems for documentation and knowledge sharing via platforms like Confluence or SharePoint
+ Educate team members and stakeholders on Agile values, principles, and benefits
+ Act as a liaison between teams and external stakeholders, helping to navigate challenges and align priorities
**Required Qualifications**
+ 7–10+ years of professional experience in technology or project delivery
+ 3–5+ years in roles such as Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer (RTE), Product Owner, or Agile Project/Program Manager
+ Proven ability in problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking
+ Strong collaboration and team-building skills
+ Demonstrated growth mindset and commitment to personal and team development
+ Expertise in execution, delivery planning, and stakeholder support
+ Proficiency in business intelligence and performance analytics
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent)
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
+ Experience in program management within the healthcare industry
+ Medicare enrollment and billing processes a plus
+ Advanced understanding of software development practices
+ Experience leading Agile teams on large-scale, complex applications
+ Familiarity with Agile collaboration tools (e.g., CA Rally, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams)
+ Knowledge of resource planning, forecasting, and budgeting
**Education**
Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant professional training or certifications will be considered
**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$118,450.00 - $236,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
