RoleAs the Senior Manager - Public Relations you will be part of the EMBU function and will report to the Lead Brand.
The purpose of your role will be to lead the strategic planning and programming related to communications, external relations, and stakeholder engagement for the entire Emerging Mobility Business Unit of Hero MotoCorp.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
1. Product and Brand Communication (entire EV portfolio) -
- Take complete ownership of the entire spectrum of Product Launches, including strategic conceptualization, tactical planning & implementation in India
- Leverage all marketing associations/properties to the maximum
- Support all sales-related initiatives & campaigns through Media amplification
- Highlight & Leverage the PAM (Parts, Accessories & Merchandise) business in the Media through tactical Media planning
- Strategically leverage association with all Brand Ambassadors
2. Products/Brands & Market Reputation :
- Products: Put in place a strategic Media & Communication Plan Category-wise (scooter, motorcycles, emerging mobility concepts) and Brand-wise (VIDA masterbrand, DIRT.E brand, Novus, VX2 and upcoming motorcycle portfolio)and ensure effective implantation with the desired results
- Amplify & leverage all marketing/brand related consumer campaigns
- Zone/State & Market specific strategic planning and implementation
- Effective Communication on Market share gains/consolidation; neutralize/minimize any negative development/trend
- Highlight in the Media superior Product Quality
- Neutralize/Minimize any negative fallout in the media due to product quality issues, if any
3. Strategic Media Partnerships:
- Identify and forge strategic partnerships with key media outlets/personalities in the country, including newspapers, periodicals, trade magazines & electronic/digital platforms and important influencers/KOLs as an integral part of the Brand
4. Executive Positioning:
- Act as strategic advisor to the CBO, sharing corporate narratives, thought leadership and high-stakes communication to strengthen brand authority with investors, regulators and key stakeholders
- Lead executive-level communication strategy, including authoring speeches and keynote remarks for CBO, translating complex business strategy into compelling narratives that reinforce executive credibility
5. Corporate Compliance Reporting (Annual Report/Sustainability Report):
- The single point contact of EMBU as part of the CFT to bring out the compliance related reports: Annual Report & the Sustainability Report, including the content, photographs, designs and final delivery.
6. Awards & Recognitions:
- Identify reputed and credible Awards & Recognitions in the field of Business & Industry, Leadership, PR/Communication, Sustainability & Sports in India and across key geographies across the globe; prepare the nomination entry decks and work towards delivering at least five winners across categories in a year.
Lead the strategic planning and programming related to communications, external relations, and stakeholder engagement for the entire Emerging Mobility Business Unit of Hero MotoCorp. Effective relationship-building, strategic communications and partnerships are key demands in this role as the company interfaces with diverse internal and external stakeholders. This role will also be responsible for Products & Brands (Emerging Mobility Business Unit) in India and Global geographies, Media Partnerships and Reputational Risk Management
Academic Qualification & Experience• Post-Graduate in Mass Communication
• 13+ Years of relevant work experience
• High language Proficiency (English, Hindi), Product Launches, Media Relations, Crisis Management
Behavioural Skills• Effective communications, team leader, navigational skills in large complex environment
