Senior Manager - Financial Analytics and Reporting

Job Description

What is the opportunity?  

The Senior Manager - Financial Analytics and Reporting will work closely with traders, data analysts, and various teams within Corporate Treasury (CT). The successful candidate will play an important role in providing analytics, maintaining and developing our data and analytics systems and reports to support multiple areas, including:

Interest rate risk strategy and hedging for RBC's banking books

Structural FX, Equity Linked hedging portfolios

Management of CT's $70+Bn liquid asset portfolios (HTC, HTCS & MTM)

The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of financial products and derivatives, excellent analytical abilities and good technical skills. They will need to understand business needs and provide actionable insights to inform trading decision making, ultimately contributing to the success of Corporate Treasury’s interest rate risk and portfolio management strategies.

What will you do?  

Integrate various trading systems, databases and financial information to maintain consistent and timely analytics and reporting for Corporate Treasury Markets Team

Provide on demand analytics by leveraging big data, valuation models and tools to enhance our current trading practices

Perform analytics to support mortgage commitment option hedging strategy; perform live risk runs, Greeks monitoring and model back-testing for options book

Perform dealer assessments and monitor trade volume, product mix, wallet and ranking

Enhance processes through automation and use of advanced technology for higher efficiencies

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have  

Bachelor’s degree in Math/Finance OR CFA designation

Knowledge of fixed income and derivatives

2-5 years of experience in Treasury/Finance/Trading related fields

Proficient with Python/VBA/SQL/Tableau/Data visualization

Strong attention to detail  

Strong team player and interpersonal skills

Good communication skills

Nice-to-have

Knowledge of portfolio reporting, P&L explained

Experience in Product Control/Hedge Accounting department of the bank
