Job Description:

Required (Must Have)

10-15 years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution design, delivery, and production support of complex, enterprise‑scale applications and systems.Hands‑on experience in Mainframe environments, including but not limited to COBOL, IMS, DB2, JCL, and CA7, supporting mission‑critical, high‑availability platforms.Demonstrated experience executing enterprise engineering strategies, including the introduction of tooling and automation across build, test, release, configuration, and operational support activities spanning application, platform, and infrastructure layers.Proven experience acting as a technical leader and application SME, accountable for end‑to‑end solution design, development, deployment, and support across the full lifecycle.Strong background in hands‑on development and coding, including ownership of complex systems, technical design decisions, defect remediation, and performance optimization.Experience supporting large‑scale production applications at Level 3 (L3), including root‑cause analysis, incident remediation, problem management, and collaboration with L1/L2 support teams to restore service.Demonstrated ability to manage production stability, availability, resiliency, and performance, including on‑call support rotations and post‑incident reviews for critical systems.Experience translating business requirements into functional, technical, and user interface designs aligned with enterprise architecture, security, performance, and development standards.Proven capability to analyze business and technology requirements, evaluate solution options, and recommend optimal buy / build / reuse strategies.Experience partnering closely with Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Platform, and Operations teams to ensure solution alignment, scalability, operational readiness, and supportability.Hands‑on experience conducting code reviews, solution design reviews, operational readiness reviews, and production gating activities, ensuring quality, maintainability, and standards compliance.Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving application, data, cross‑capability, and cross‑release issues, proactively managing technical debt and system integrity.Proven leadership experience mentoring, coaching, and developing engineers, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and support for skill and career progression.Experience leading delivery teams or support workstreams, setting technical direction, prioritizing work, and balancing delivery timelines with operational stability.Proven ability to foster a collaborative, inclusive, high‑performance engineering and operations culture, emphasizing accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.Experience operating within regulated, risk‑aware environments, adhering to enterprise frameworks, governance models, change management, and control practices.

Nice to Have

Prior experience working with Core Banking Systems and large‑scale financial services platforms.Experience applying AI‑enabled tooling and methodologies to software engineering, quality engineering, automation, incident analysis, or developer productivity.Familiarity with AI‑driven engineering and operations patterns, including intelligent automation, testing acceleration, code quality analysis, or service reliability optimization.
