Senior Manager-Card Lending Product Development

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) Products is the leading payment card issuer for corporations and small businesses, offering products and services to help them run and grow their business.  Within GCS Enterprise Solutions, the US Card Lending Product Development team is seeking a dynamic individual to help create and bring to market the next generation of card lending innovative features and capabilities.

We are looking for a unique individual who is customer-focused and can both think strategically and implement successfully.  This individual will need to excel at conceptual thought leadership, effectively influence partners to align behind a vision, and thrive in a fast paced and constantly evolving environment to bring these concepts to life.  A broad spectrum of skills is required, including strategy and concept development, process design, project management, implementation experience, building and leveraging relationships and partners to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the launch of new on-card lending features and capabilities, working across all card productsManage initiatives across multiple Engineering scrum teams, defining user stories & test criteria, influencing sprint plans, and ensuring quality deliveryDocument business architecture and product functionality to ensure clarity, alignment, and knowledge sharingProvide thought leadership during concept development, end-to-end user experience design, and feasibility assessmentLead key operational processes and integrations by partnering and managing relationships with collaborators in Product Management, Marketing, Technology, Risk, Servicing, Legal and ComplianceUnderstand business goals and customer needs and identify creative ways to leverage technological capabilities and/or other creative solutions to meet those needsLead GCS-wide strategic initiatives to drive business results, improve customer experiences, and increase agility in product development occasional travel

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to identify and understand business needs and turn them into technology requirements; ability to understand the details of complex processes and an orientation toward process improvement and innovation; prior experience with payments and agile product development / delivery a plusAbility to lead end-to-end product development process in a highly focused fashionStrong project management, collaboration, communication, and presentation abilitiesMotivated self-starter with a sense of urgency, positive attitude, and the ability to excel in a fast paced and dynamic environmentCreative and innovative problem solver who is comfortable with ambiguity and evolving strategiesConsistent track record of getting results in a highly matrixed organization, capable of influencing and building internal alignment across multiple lines of business and support groupsPassion for doing what is right for the customerEmbodies a "team" mentality in all you do, with strong ability to take ownership for progressing project delivery5+ years of experience in product management, product or platform development, or related roles within financial services or engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience

Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
