Senior Manager Audit

We believe in the value of empowering **Senior Manager Audit** with the resources to solve critical problems for the future of our business, which is why we need you. **Responsibilities:** Prepare presentation materials for various committees and executive meetings Support or lead departmental initiatives Support the development of an annual audit plan based on risks and applicable requirements for assigned areas As Project Lead: Plan and lead a team to execute various types of audits in assigned areas or countries, including regional/local audits and Sarbanes-Oxley Project (SOX), while adhering to audit methodology, departmental standards, and regulatory requirements. Assess the adequacy of risk management and internal controls within the business. Present findings and reach agreements with the business unit, providing practical recommendations to improve the control environment, as well as efficiency and effectiveness of operations Prepare and review audit reports to ensure they are clear, concise, well-organized, and issued within departmental service standards Utilize Data Analytics to improve effectiveness and efficiency of audit assessments Ensure quality of completed work Manage projects within time budgets and target dates, reporting any timing problems or budget over-runs to audit management Provide feedback and coaching to team members Own relationship management responsibility of assigned area/country. Assist business unit management by providing consulting advice where appropriate Regularly follow up with business unit management on the status and implementation of corrective action plans for timely audit issue closure Committed to building an inclusive, diverse workplaces where everyone can thrive **Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:** + Good knowledge of life insurance and asset management business, audit methodologies, control frameworks and risk management techniques + Japan audit experience is a must + A fast learner + Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Able to deal with confrontations and resolve conflicts + Proven leadership skills and demonstrate people management capabilities + Results oriented; able to strike balance on multiple priorities and projects + Sound business judgment in assessing significance of issues and developing value added recommendations + Commitment to quality + Recognized accounting (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA) or auditing (CIA, CISA) professional designation + Strong team-player who willingly and openly shares ideas and knowledge. Able to collaborate with different team members in a multi-cultural environment. + Provide clear and timely constructive feedback. At the same time, actively seeks feedback from others and incorporates any necessary changes + Challenges the status quo and proactively makes suggestions for continuous improvement + 10+ years relevant experience **Problems/Challenges:** + Effectively communicate with business unit senior management and staff, to present audit findings clearly and concisely, reach agreement on appropriate solutions to risk management and operational efficiency issues + Prioritize time management in a multi-tasking environment + Need to work overtime to meet internal or external deadlines + Analyze business processes and controls over a wide and diverse operation across Japan, including in life and asset management business, identify key risks and control deficiencies, and develop practical and value-added recommendations for management implementation exercising sound business judgment + Establishing a high level of credibility and maintaining sound business relationships with business unit and department management and staff + Some business travel locally within Japan and Asia region **Work Arrangement** : The candidate will participate in a hybrid work schedule. In alignment with our HR policies, this includes working in the office three days per week **Overtime** : Approximately 20 hours per month. **Compensation** : Salary is determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and knowledge, in accordance with company work rules. Additional compensation includes a commutation allowance and a Variable Incentive Bonus, both provided per company guidelines. **Working Hours** : Standard hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a one-hour break.
