Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Senior Manager – Advanced Practice Provider delivers administrative and clinical leadership for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners within Oncology Services. In collaboration with the Director and Operations Manager, this role ensures high-quality patient care, effective staffing, regulatory compliance, and continuous professional development. The Senior Manager provides clinical coverage as needed.

Leadership & Administration
Supervise and manage all PAs and APRNsOversee staffing, scheduling, payroll, and coverageLead recruitment, onboarding, and performance managementMaintain compliance with credentialing, HIPAA, and regulatory standardsDevelop and implement policies, quality measures, and improvement initiativesManage discretionary budgets and compensation alignmentServe as liaison with Human Resources and hospital leadershipRepresent the department at management and safety meetingsEducation & Development
Lead new hire orientation and trainingMentor and support professional developmentProvide procedural training and supervisionServe as preceptor for APP studentsPromote continuing education opportunitiesClinical Practice

Education & Licensure
Master’s preferred, BSN or equivalent requiredGraduate of accredited PA or APRN programNCCPA (PA) or ANCC/approved NAPRNP certificationValid Connecticut license, DEA, and controlled substance registrationExperience
Minimum 2 years inpatient PA or APRN experienceOncology experience requiredLeadership or educational experience preferredSkills
