Position Responsibilities:
Manages, develops, and motivates a group of Category Management Specialists
Build strategic cross-functional and cross-organizational partnerships to evangelize and achieve category goals
Sets strategic priority and drives key initiatives. Leads a team to develop and execute innovative and complex category management strategies that capture value
Ensures strong coordination and alignment with other supply chain leaders across BGS government services, and with Boeing defense, space and security.
Creates a culture of continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices.
Leverages supply base and industry relationships to achieve strategic goals.
Partners with enterprise stakeholders and industry to drive category vision into key activities such as long-term agreements, make-buy-transfer decisions and corporate initiatives.

Required Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Typically 12 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
7+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Supply Chain Category Management, Strategy, or Supplier Management
5+ years of experience in Aerospace Supply Chain
3+ years of formal management experience
Ability to travel to support business and team requirements (approximately 10%-25%)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Education: Master of Business Administration
15+ years of related experience
Supply chain category strategy
Defense aftermarket, parts and distribution experience
