Senior Manager, Talent Management - UCAN

As Senior Manager, Talent Management UCAN, you will own, drive, and implement talent management strategies that effectively balance global standards with regional needs across the US and Canada lines of business. In this role, you'll create innovative, scalable solutions that drive measurable business results by blending strategic vision with practical expertise. 

Success in this position requires exceptional cross-functional leadership, a forward-thinking perspective, and the ability to connect talent management initiatives directly to business outcomes. You'll solve complex problems by proactively thinking of innovative ways to create business impact. You'll also act as a trusted advisor on the implementation of talent programs, offering solutions for all things related to learning, culture, and development.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders at every level to tackle complex challenges while ensuring your solutions remain relevant across diverse contexts. This position reports directly to the Director, Talent Management UCAN. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following

Strategic Leadership

Lead complex talent management initiatives from strategy through execution, ensuring alignment with company objectives 

Shape functional and regional talent management strategy in partnership with HR Business Partners

Develop innovative, scalable solutions for major business challenges across various functions/lines of business based on a deep understanding of the business, employee needs, and industry best practices

Create implementation frameworks that enable consistent delivery with appropriate local adaptation

Drive program innovation and lead change initiatives - delegating tasks, providing clear expectations, and providing coaching and development to ensure high-quality execution and successful outcomes across all program components

Stakeholder Management

Build and influence senior stakeholder relationships across all levels and functions

Engage regularly with stakeholders to receive feedback, align strategy, share progress, and set expectations

Partner effectively with other Global Business Practice partners across the Talent organization

Guide cross-functional work and build stakeholder alignment on complex initiatives

Program Development & Implementation

Develop near-term and long-term Talent Management plans aligned with strategic company goals

Craft major programs that address global/regional/functional nuances to deliver measurable business impact in partnership with Central teams.

Facilitate learning through multiple delivery methods (in-person, virtual, digital) with innovative approaches that support team effectiveness and other topics

Scale regional solutions while maintaining quality standards and excellence

Monitor program effectiveness and ensure quality implementation

Insight & Innovation

Gather insights from HR Partner teams and leaders through bi-annual planning and ongoing pulse checks; share with Global Business Practice teams

Collect and analyze feedback on program components to identify efficiencies, risks, and opportunities

Use data and stakeholder input to influence new and existing initiatives

Tackle complex challenges by developing innovative approaches to business challenges, large and small

Requirements for the Role

Excellent influencing, stakeholder engagement, presentation, and communication skills

Ability to work as a selfless team player, tactfully engaging with stakeholders across cultural backgrounds and geographies

Flexibility and adaptability in ambiguous environments, proactively solving problems while navigating complex local and functional dynamics

Resourcefulness and creativity in developing solutions for challenging problems

Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, requiring both strategic vision and hands-on implementation

Preferred Experience

Twelve (12) or more years of experience in Human Resources, Leadership Development, Talent Management, Organizational Development, or related field

At least ten (10) years of progressive experience driving business outcomes through the leadership, design, and delivery of varied talent management, learning programs, and resources

Expert-level understanding of HR functions, talent management, and leadership practices. Expert-level consultation, presentation, and facilitation skills

Experience scaling local, regional, and global initiatives across diverse teams/populations

Background leading Agile and/or design thinking workflows and operating methods

Track record collaborating with HR partner teams, business leaders at all levels, and subject matter experts to design innovative talent management and learning solutions

 

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $290,000.00 - $470,000.00.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
