Senior Manager, Strategy

Job Description

What is the Opportunity?  

The Insurance Strategy team plays a crucial role in developing and monitoring strategies across all RBC Insurance products to make insurance easy for everyone, drive business efficiencies, and unlock growth with a client-first and enterprise-wide approach. As the Senior Manager of Strategy, you report into the Director of Strategy and will work collaboratively with stakeholders in each of our business lines on topics ranging from product development, client experience, distribution, operational efficiencies and growth.  

 What will you do? 

Lead and support on a broad range of ad-hoc and long-term strategy development and execution engagements across the insurance value chain, including enterprise-wide programs Design and lead problem solving workshops and interviews with cross-functional / business line working team members and subject matter experts Support the on-going management of strategic planning with key business lines to ensure alignment with top of the house strategic priorities Develop executive level materials for senior executives & C-suite Drive thought leadership and benchmarking in various Insurance, Wealth and Technology landscapes Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of deliverables and overall strategic objectives Assist with organizing strategy offsites and townhalls for senior management 

  

What will you need to succeed? 

Must have

3 - 5 years of experience in strategy development, digital transformation, and product development Exceptional ability to build strategic narratives and bring them to life using slides Very strong relationship management and communication skills High degree of resourcefulness and ingenuity when solving barriers to success/progress An exceptional can-do attitude with a strong drive to exceed expectations 

Nice to Have 

2+ years as a consultant and/or Product Manager at a top tier consulting firm Experience working in a Life insurance company 

Work location

Mississauga or Toronto (ability to work in either location)

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$90,000.00 - $140,000.00
