What is the Opportunity?
This position reports to Director, Technology Strategy in Strategy team of Cash Management Technology Canada (CMTC) group. CMTC Strategy team plays a key role in the development and execution of the CMTC strategy, partnering directly with executives and senior leadership to shape strategic thinking and address complex problems.
What will you do?
Strategic Planning:
Lead the development of multi-year strategic plans and roadmaps for the CMTC, defining high-level outcomes, focus areas and KPIs to gauge progress throughout the year
Provide a strategic lens on emerging ad-hoc and enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader strategic goals
Own executive-level reporting process, providing updates on major program milestones, business outcomes and progress towards objectives for senior leadership to drive decision making
Execution:
Partner with teams across CMTC to drive the execution of key initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
Collaborate cross functionally with senior leaders to provide subject matter expertise, thought leadership and act as a strategic advisor
Facilitate CMTC strategic communication forums, including Town halls, leadership offsites, etc.
Insights and Analytics:
Define, develop, and manage KPIs and OKRs for use across the CMTC organization to measure progress towards strategic outcome
Drive analysis on cost and performance metrics in the CMTC portfolio, synthesizing findings into key insights and recommendations to support decision making
What we are looking for:
Must Haves:
5-10 years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting or Technology Consulting with a strong emphasis on Financial Services and Financial Technology
Comfort with navigating ambiguity, applying a structured approach to problems with clear outcomes and next steps
Proven track record of excellence, with a strong sense of ownership over end-to-end delivery and exceeding expectations
Analytical mindset and experience using tools Excel and Tableau to build analysis and keen attention to detail
Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into insights for a broad base of stakeholders
Experience in storytelling and crafting compelling narratives for executive level audiences through PowerPoint
Executive stakeholder experience / managing Senior stakeholders – tight turnarounds, iterative discussion etc.
Nice-to-have:
Expertise in AI, digital development, and/or embedded finance tech (strongly preferred)
Familiarity with commercial banking and payments products and services
Excitement about keeping up with developments in emerging technologies including AI and Digital currencies
