About the job:
We are seeking a strategic and solutions-oriented leader to drive best-in-class governance across Walmart’s Sourcing portfolio. This role is responsible for implementing and evolving the Strategic Portfolio Review process, ensuring transparency, prioritization, and accountability across all sourcing initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of analytical rigor, executive presence, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
What you'll do:
Portfolio Governance Leadership: Iterate, launch, and operationalize governance frameworks that centralize project intake, enable structured prioritization, and facilitate quarterly strategic reviews.Strategic Portfolio Review Process: Lead the end-to-end process including project tracking, charter development, prioritization modeling, and executive-level reporting. Ensure alignment with sourcing strategy and enterprise goals.Cross-Functional Influence: Partner with Finance, Strategy, Merchandising, and Product teams to gather inputs, drive alignment, and facilitate decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups.Executive Communication: Prepare and deliver high-impact updates and recommendations to senior leadership, highlighting wins, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify blockers, overlaps, and inefficiencies across the portfolio. Recommend and implement solutions that improve speed to market, resource utilization, and strategic clarity.Data-Driven Decision Making: Develop and refine prioritization models and performance metrics to evaluate project impact, urgency, and resource needs.You'll sweep us off our feet if you have:
Proven experience in strategic portfolio management, governance, or program leadership within a complex organization. Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Demonstrated success in building and scaling governance processes.Analytical mindset with experience in data modeling, KPI development, and performance tracking.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.Experience in sourcing, merchandising, or product development is a plus.he above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
