Job Description:

The Disney Entertainment Television Production Technology team is focused on implementing innovative solutions to support the production of episodic television. The team works to implement solutions across multiple studios and delivery platforms with a focus on building solutions to business problems that increase insight and operational efficiency.Responsibilities:Develop a deep understanding of the television production businessBuild trusted relationships with senior executives and stakeholdersApply a strategic and structured approach to technology enablementServe as a strategic advisor and liaison between business units and technology teamsIdentify opportunities to apply technology to add value and increase efficienciesTranslate complex functional requirements into technical requirementsCollaborate closely with developers in the role of subject matter expertLead change management efforts to ensure business preparedness and user adoptionLead user acceptance testing and document results as required for governance and complianceProvide first line support for user reported issuesDevelop project plans and track sprint progressIdentify and communicate risks and issuesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent years of experience10 years of overall experience working on custom software development projects4+ years of managing a team and leading projectsDeep business domain experience within financial planning, financial reporting, ERP, or similarStrong background in business relationship managementHighly analytical with strong data analysis skillsAbility to understand complex systems and end-to-end business processesAbility to work at a detailed levelAbility to analyze data using a SQL database, multi-dimensional database, or ExcelExperience writing test plans and performing application testingExperience conducting user acceptance testingExperience with data conversion testingExperience validating data using Excel and SQLExperience creating training materials and training usersComfortable working in Agile/SCRUM environment with teams of 4-8 peopleAbility to communicate clearly and collaborate closely with developers and business analystsProduces high quality written deliverables (specifications, test plans)Advanced Excel skills to include pivot tables, vlookup, formulas

Preferred Qualifications:Experience working at a major studioExperience working in television production or distributionExperience working on financial systemsExperience with SAP financialsExperience with AirtableExperience with Snowflake or Oracle relational databasesExperience using Hyperion PlanningExperience with SOX applicationsThe hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $171,600.00 to $230,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
