Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Performance Marketing plays a critical role in the DTC Marketing team, developing strategies, executing plans, and measuring performance across all paid digital performance marketing activities.

The Senior Managers’ focus is to deliver the highest performance for Samsung.com and Samsung Experience Stores (SES) (including B2B and SMB channels) while working with key internal SECA stakeholders and external agency partners.

They will be required to drive the continued growth of Samsung’s omni-channel business through high traffic driving campaigns working in partnership with DTC Sales and Merchandising teams and Samsung Product Category Teams, including Mobile Experiences, Digital Appliances, Consumer Electronics and Enterprise Display and Monitors.

This individual play a strategic role within the DTC organization, responsible for defining and leading program development and execution while continuously looking for new ways to drive online and offline business growth.

Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Develop and implement comprehensive performance marketing strategies

Based on platform insights and market trends for Paid Media and Affiliate Marketing across all lines of business (.COM and SES, including B2C and B2B channels).

Analyze platform data and consumer behaviour

Leverage campaign performance data to identify trends, insights, and provide opportunities for improvement to both internal stakeholders and agency partners.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators

Including but not limited to SEM, affiliate marketing, SEO, and paid advertising with a focus on acquisition, growth and conversion KPIs.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Work closely with divisional marketing teams and agency partners (ie. Starcom, Google, Meta, etc.) to establish best practices that drive quality traffic, maximizes ROAS, and improves conversion across all channels.

 Conduct A/B testing and experimentation

Drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement by implementing frameworks to optimize campaign performance and user experiences.

 

Program Management:

 Develop and execute comprehensive performance marketing strategies to maximize ROI and achieve campaign goals, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making.Oversee the planning, implementation, and optimization of paid media campaigns across digital channels (e.g., search, social, display, programmatic), and affiliates ensuring alignment with business objectives and KPIs.Design and execute A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to optimize campaign performance, user experience, and conversion rates, utilizing advanced analytics tools to measure impact.Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable recommendations to enhance marketing effectiveness.Ensure all campaigns and promotions are supported by working with DTC Marketing and Sales to establish priorities across all performance marketing channels on an ongoing basis. Collaborate with creative and sales teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives, using insights from analytics to drive strategic initiatives.Prepare and present performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting key metrics, trends, and strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance marketing, leveraging insights to drive innovation and competitive advantage.Supports Live Commerce initiatives and provides recommendations for continued optimizations to drive business results.

 

Operations Management:

 Manage and mentor a performance marketing specialist, providing guidance on data analysis techniques and fostering professional growth through continuous learning opportunities.Directs Media and Affiliate Agencies to monitor and adjust tactics as required, to meet campaign and overall KPIs.Collaborate with Content Manager on all campaigns and creative execution to ensure integration across all touchpoints and on-time delivery of all assets. Integrates performance marketing plan into the holistic 52-week calendarOversee the day-to-day operations of performance marketing initiatives, ensuring timely execution and alignment with strategic goals while monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and campaign effectiveness, utilizing data-driven insights to streamline workflows and optimize resource utilization.Partners with internal and external CRM partners to leverage First Party data to integrate and optimize across performance marketing channels and customer experience journey (e.g. retargeting).Create proposals to internal business and finance stakeholders to secure funding for projects.Ensure compliance with budgetary requirements and optimize funding allocation for maximum efficiency.Develop partnership with HQ counterparts to support quarterly planning process for incremental budgetary support.Collaborates with Marketing Finance on the development and management of internal business proposals, vendor quotation/reviews, and invoicing.

 

Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

 

Knowledge:

 Proficient in marketing fundamentals, with particular focus on performance marketing, including full funnel capabilities across paid media and Affiliate Strong capabilities in taking market, consumer, and industry insights and translating these into specific actions to drive positive consumer sentiment and commercial results.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven thinking.  Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.Deep working knowledge of digital media execution, digital analytic tools, measurement platforms, including (but not limited to) Google, Meta Ads/Audience Manager, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms. Strong technical knowledge of GMP, DMP, Tag Manager and other marketing technology experience (Adobe Audience Manager, DV360, Search 360, Campaign Manager, Tag Manager).Demonstrated ability to listen to various points of input, and bring those together with your knowledge to sell a vision of the strategic direction.Forward-thinking capabilities in performance marketing tools and platforms, using analytics to assess their impact on campaign outcomes and recommend enhancements or alternatives as needed.Strong understanding of creative and copy design principles, to be able to direct development and provide ongoing recommendations and feedback for improvement to the creative agency

 

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, preferred.8+ years of experience in performance marketing, including paid media and affiliate marketing preferred.A team player, known for putting the best interest of the project or initiative at the forefront of all actions.Demonstrated capabilities in project management, developing and leading strategic corporate initiatives that require meeting aggressive timelines, and managing a variety of internal and external stakeholdersSelf-motivated, resilient, with capabilities to work with limited supervision.Decisive with the ability to manage complex issues.Proven ability to function effectively in a team environment.Has a wide range of experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.Works on complex issues where analyzing situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables. Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinates other's tasks.May manage a group such as coordinating activities regarding costs, methods and staffing.Typically requires at least 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years.

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $105,000 to $145,000 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience.
