We are seeking a dynamic and proactive leader to drive high-impact programs and initiatives within the Transportation space. This role requires a self-starter with a “figure it out” mindset—someone who thrives in ambiguity, creates clarity where none exists, and builds new paths when traditional ones don’t apply.
What You’ll Do:
1. Program & Project Leadership
- Direct the execution of projects, workstreams, and programs by managing and modifying project plans, creating and managing task timelines, and maintaining project data.
- Organize and facilitate communication materials to ensure successful rollouts and implementations.
- Identify performance standards, measure progress, and adjust performance accordingly.
- Develop solutions and contingency plans for escalated issues and manage budgets and expenditures as required.
2. Strategic Problem Solving & Innovation
- Apply critical thinking and creativity to solve current and emerging business challenges.
- Leverage best practices from strategic stakeholders to avoid reinventing the wheel and innovate where necessary.
- Develop creative solutions within business areas to reduce costs and meet business goals.
3. Data-Driven Decision Support
- Source, organize, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable insights.
- Conduct analyses of initiatives to understand and communicate trends.
- Translate data analysis into recommendations aligned with business objectives and present business cases to leadership.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong partnerships across departments to influence outcomes and drive alignment.
- Collaborate with product management, merchandising, engineering, and other groups to drive projects and improve processes.
5. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and implement tools, scorecards, and tracking mechanisms to monitor performance.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience.
- Ensure data accuracy and use business knowledge to determine necessary activities.
6. Leadership & Team Development
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and belonging.
- Promote continuous learning and professional growth.
7. Business Strategy & Execution
- Drive activities and projects that generate revenue, offset operational expenses, and mitigate loss.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives.
- Consult with business partners and stakeholders to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Support community outreach events and promote company policies, values, and ethics.
What You’ll Bring:
- A go-getter with a bias for action and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Someone who thrives in ambiguity and can create structure where none exists.
- A resourceful leader who knows when to leverage existing solutions and when to innovate.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to build compelling business cases.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to lead through influence, not just authority.
