About this Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Brand and Business Development Officer, the Senior Manager, Membership Growth leads GGC’s Membership Growth function to deliver on GGC’s strategic goals and support exponential growth to serve more girls.
In this role you will:
Membership Growth strategy and execution
Leads the Membership Growth function, providing both strategic leadership and hands-on management in GGC’s multi-stakeholder environment.Partners with GGC stakeholder groups and Provincial Councils to deliver comprehensive and integrated national and provincial acquisition campaigns. Leads and oversees communications management to plan, execute, deploy and evaluate communications across a variety of channels, teams, and tactics. Holds revenue accountability for new membership acquisition (recruitment of new Volunteers/Guiders and Girl/Youth newly joined). Spearheads GGC’s alumnae membership strategic plan and execution of engagement initiatives.
Community engagement
Leads local partnering / activation, supporting grassroots efforts & Provincial / Council needs.Oversees engagement of Brand Ambassadors and Community Engagement volunteers.Plans and executes high-impact community campaigns, including identifying opportunities where GGC can partner to build and maintain pipelines for membership growth based on organizational needs.
Stakeholder collaboration
Nurtures effective relationships with key stakeholders and partners to ensure alignment and advance strategic initiatives.Applies organizational policies regarding diversity, equity and inclusion to content, communication and customer service.
People Leadership
Develops, manages and coaches the Membership Growth team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high-performance environment.Manages talent and external agency/vendor/supplier relationships to ensure BBD is equipped with the appropriate mix of expertise in membership acquisition strategy, alumnae engagement, platforms, and tools.Leads operational planning, budget management, functional performance measurement, and outcomes evaluation for the Membership Growth, continuously raising the bar and driving innovation.General
Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and practices.Liaise with other departments as required.Provide general, ongoing support to members/volunteers, responding to/directing inquiries and consulting with the appropriate groups and individuals to support the mission and vision of GGC.Flexible to travel as needed.
You are the ideal candidate if you have:
Education, Designations and Certifications
Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field.Prior Work Experience
Minimum 10+ years of demonstrated Business, Sales, Marketing or related field experience, ideally in the not-for-profit or social purpose sector. Experience working with legacy brands is an asset.Proven experience in developing and executing acquisition strategies in at least one of: women and girl-focused, youth-led, members-based, social purpose, or not-for-profit environments. Minimum of 4+ years leading and coaching a high-performing communications team.Significant experience navigating multistakeholder communications.Proven experience consulting with executives and senior management.Experience overseeing teams or agencies/suppliers to develop growth strategies and campaigns.Experience with contact management best practices, data protection standards, and compliance with regulations such as CASL, PIPEDA, and other applicable frameworks.Experience building strong relationships and navigating buy-in with boards, volunteers, community members and influential stakeholders.Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Strong analytical, decision-making and project management skillsAbility to tell a story with data, visually and verbally, to guide conversations with business managers.Strong business acumen, including ability to leverage data to optimize communications strategies, improve ROI and drive impactProactive and adaptable, willing to be hands-on with strategic positioning or tactical execution when needed Broad and deep understanding of communications strategies and tactics, across a range of domains/disciplinesProficient in collaboration tools, digital publication tools, web content management platforms, web analytics, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM systems is an asset.Leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring professionals.Innovative attitude, strong critical thinker and challenge the status quo.Benefits:

Hiring Range: $86,100.00 - $101,610.00
