Senior Manager, Fraud Strategy & Analytics

Job Description

What's the opportunity?

You will work directly with the Personal and Commercial lending line of business owners to develop and design sound Fraud Management practices.  You will set the overall Data driven Fraud Strategy and ensure the effective balance between fraud loss, client experience, operational costs, and risk management framework.  You will lead forecasting and planning processes for Fraud Management, partnering with other Data Scientists, Product Managers, Business Risk Leaders, Corporate Investigation Services, and Group Risk Management.  You will provide business leaders and senior management within Fraud Management with analysis and insights on trends and overall performance.

What will you do?

Responsible for one of the areas of fraud (including credit fraud) in the retail and commercial lending business, and performance of existing strategies, analyze data to recommend ways to identify and stop emerging fraud trendsApply technical analytical skills (such as SQL and Python) to complete the analysis and formulate your strategyWork with data scientists to prevent first and third-party fraudBuild the case to bring strategies to market, work with business and technology teams to implement them and see your work product to delivery lifecycle in real timeAs the strategy owner, evaluate performance and continue to adjust and improve strategy as the fraud landscape evolves, and drive the roadmap and set the strategic direction for fraud strategy at product levelLead and present quarterly fraud updates to senior stakeholdersUnderstand internal and external fraud schemes, business partner objectives, technology capabilities, and develop strategic plans for addressing new and existing fraud risksPerform data analysis to develop a fact base for business cases, which may be required for technology or FTE investment

What you need to succeed

Must have:

Credit Risk Strategy or Fraud Strategy experienceAbility to run analytics and drive data-based decisionsExperience working in a team environment, with ability to effectively collaborate with partnersAbility to present to a senior audience and provide compelling evidence towards a course of actionUniversity degree or higher

Nice to have:

Advanced business degree or graduate degree in a quantitative field of studyExperience in Retail and/or Commercial banking products
