Senior Manager, Financial and Accounting
Job Description A food manufacturing brand in Richmond, VA is hiring for a Senior Manager of Accounting and Financial Reporting. They are responsible for overseeing the integrity and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and leading the financial close and reporting processes. This role plays a critical part in developing and enforcing the control framework of the business. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical accounting expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement. This position will report to the Corporate Controller. Skills and Requirements ○ Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards. ○ Proven ability to manage projects and drive process improvements. ○ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ○ Proficiency in ERP and reporting systems (e.g. PeopleSoft and Vena preferred) and advanced Excel skills. ○ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. ○ Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA required. ○ Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and corporate accounting. ○ Experience managing financial close and reporting processes in a complex, multi-entity environment. Experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus.
