What You’ll Be Doing
As the Senior Manager, Design, Advisor Marketing within the Wealth Digital, Marketing and Communications team, this role has two primary functions. First, the candidate will work alongside and provide design support to a team of marketing consultants who act as first point of contact to Private Wealth (PW) advisors for the enablement of their client- and prospect-facing marketing efforts. The candidate will also provide digital and creative direction for advisor advertising campaigns, including paid and organic social media, and ensure seamless brand integration across digital and traditional channels. You will be a catalyst for innovation, driving impactful design solutions that elevate our PW advisors’ market presence, and support business growth. This role is empowered to recommend and implement changes to design and marketing processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. The candidate also has the authority to make design decisions that have a direct impact on advisor marketing outcomes and brand reputation.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $92,490 to $127,200.
The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.
In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

Business Acumen - Seasoned in Advisor Wealth business and marketing approaches and methodologies. Agency experience is an asset. Build an environment where a collaborative approach is the norm, and inspire and influence to gain support on recommended design strategies to support sales. Responsible for design execution of the marketing strategy for advisory teams. Represent Wealth Digital, Marketing & Communications for confidential Wood Gundy competitive recruit efforts.Marketing strategy development- Lead the design and creative development of high-impact digital and print marketing collateral, including advertisements, e-brochures, social media campaigns, and multi-media assets, to articulate and amplify the unique value proposition of Private Wealth Advisors, while upholding the CIBC Private Wealth and Wood Gundy brands.Campaign development and execution- Serve as the primary design consultant for the Advisor Marketing team, providing expert guidance, creative direction, and digital design support for advisor-led advertising campaigns and social media initiatives. Develop and maintain strong relationships as first point of contact as design team lead with CIBC’s various cross-functional teams, including: Private Wealth brand marketing, communications, digital, governance, and business partners acting as a senior subject matter expert.Marketing content creation- With a deep understanding of the industry and competitors, champion the integration of digital best practices and emerging trends in social media, digital advertising, and multi-channel marketing to maximize advisor reach and engagement. You also have a comprehensive understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1, AODA) and best practices for inclusive design, with demonstrated experience integrating accessibility into design elements.Product positioning and messaging- Oversee the design project pipeline, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and flawless execution of complex marketing initiatives.Measure impact- Drive continuous improvement of Private Wealth Advisor Marketing operational processes, digital design workflows and creative strategies. Solution oriented leadership and management across ambiguous and complex business issues, challenges and problems.Who you are
You have a University degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Digital Media or a related field.You’re a certified professional. Having 7+ years of experience in digital marketing and design with a strong portfolio of advertising and social media campaign work.You can demonstrate experience between leading digital advertising and social media campaigns and have advanced expertise in graphic design principles, digital marketing, and brand strategy. You have mastered Microsoft Office suite (PPT, Word, Excel) and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); proficiency with AfterEffects (Motion Graphics), Premiere Pro (Video Editing), and web design is an asset.
