Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

As part of the Corporate Treasury Performance Management team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, in-depth and timely management reporting and analysis for Interest Rate Risk Management results (also referred to as Asset & Liability Management), including planning & forecasting and decision support.
 

Corporate Treasury is responsible for management of enterprise-wide capital, liquidity, non-trading interest rate risk assets, and execution of term funding, capital, and interest rate risk hedging transactions. The group also oversees capital investments and funding in subsidiaries, as well as local treasury activities in selected jurisdictions.
 

The successful candidate will gain broad exposure to Corporate Treasury activities, build a strong understanding of interest rate risk management, and be exposed to many key stakeholders and subject matter experts in the space.

What will you do?

Proactively provide expert analysis to Corporate Treasury and Finance VPs, Managing Directors and their teams through reporting and analytical insights, for both month-end reporting and forecast cycles, including Plan and the 5-year outlook.The role is responsible for planning and analysis of Interest Rate Risk Management results (also referred to as Asset & Liability Management) in conjunction with Corporate Treasury. This will involve understanding the balance sheet flows (predominantly for Personal Banking and Commercial Banking), how that leads to interest rate exposure and the hedging activity undertaken by Corporate Treasury to manage that risk.This role also requires developing a strong understanding of Management Funds Transfer Pricing processes, working closely with peers in the FTP Centre of Excellence and Corporate Treasury.Lead month-end reporting of the ALM results and present to stakeholders across Corporate Treasury and Finance.Work closely with Financial Control, Product Control and Hedge Accounting team to understand, analyze and report on Corporate Treasury monthly results.Lead co-ordination of Corporate Treasury forecasting (balance sheet and income statement) including using the FOM tool.Assist in streamlining current processes through identifying opportunities for time savings and reporting enhancements.

Must have:

CFA or MFin/MBA or CA/CMA/CGA5+ years’ experience in a finance / reporting environmentStrong overall understanding of RBC and Corporate Treasury business activitiesStrong Excel financial modelling skills and PowerpointExcellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skillsHigh degree of initiative and solution-based attitude
