Senior Manager, Automation Engineering – Solution Design

The Senior Manager of Solution Design will own long-term scalability of the Expanded Depot initiative. This role is responsible for partnering across merchandising, supply chain, store operations, delivery, and ecommerce stakeholders to develop comprehensive Business Design Requirements (BDRs), simulate order flow and fulfillment scenarios, collaborate with automation solution providers on conceptual designs, and oversee approvals for various fulfillment experiments. You will also design stage-gate processes, monitor pilot KPIs, and drive scale-or-kill decisions for breakthrough solutions. The position is based in Bentonville, AR and reports to the Senior Director, Future of Fulfillment.
Scope & Responsibilities Lead long-term scalability of the Expanded Depot initiative, partnering across merchandising, supply chain, store operations, delivery, and ecommerce stakeholdersServe as the initiative lead to develop comprehensive Business Design Requirements (BDRs) and own the stage-gate approval process for scalingAct as the escalation owner for outcome-related issues, driving rapid resolution to protect customer experienceSupport post-launch stabilization, monitoring performance and working with functional teams to address gapsPartner with the Senior Manager of Process Design to translate launch learnings into improvements to SOPs and playbooks
Impact on the Business Creating and managing Business Design Requirements (BDRs) for new fulfillment concepts.Collaborating with automation solution providers to develop conceptual designs.Leading structured stage-gate processes for pilot approval and execution.Monitoring KPIs and making scale-or-kill decisions for experimental solutions.Driving cross-functional alignment to ensure successful commercialization of innovations. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
