Position Summary...This role will be a key member within Marketplace Partner Payments, owning payment strategies, Faster Payout program, and settlement experience end-to-end across U.S. and International Marketplaces. This role drives GMV growth and seller experience by improving seller cash flow, enabling monetization opportunities, and delivering industry-competitive payout experience while maintaining disciplined financial risk controls.
This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with different cross-functional teams across Walmart Marketplace.What you'll do...Lead the Faster Payout program across U.S. and International Marketplaces, driving GMV growth by improving seller cash flow, experience, and monetization opportunities.Support global initiatives to achieve Faster Payout parity with the U.S. Marketplace, balancing global scalability with local market requirements.Own initiatives to optimize the end-to-end seller payments journey by identifying pain points, friction areas, and improvement opportunities. Develop strategies focused on enhancing ease of use, efficiency, and transparency in the seller payment experience.Drive seller advocacy to enhance seller payment experience, amplifying seller voices and addressing concerns with impactful and measurable results. Collaborate with Product & Tech partners to focus on building foundational payment related seller tools and automation to improve operational efficiency.Partner with Credit Risk and Billing to define and operationalize laddering frameworks across Seller Services, Payment Services, and Billing programs, reducing financial exposure while managing end-to-end reconciliationLeverage advanced analytics to design payment strategies, seller segmentation, and risk-based controls across payouts and settlements.Identify and execute initiatives to reduce other seller cost components to manage overall lossesServe as a strategic cross-functional leader, partnering with Product, Tech, Operations, Finance, Risk, and Marketplace teams to align execution and influence roadmapsDefine success metrics and measurement frameworks to track GMV impact, adoption, loss reduction, and seller experience outcomes. You’ll make an impact by: Strong analytical aptitudeEffective communication skillsDemonstrates leadership capabilitiesDriving ownership and accountabilityExcellent people skillsUses data and analysis to drive decisionsFosters trust with internal partnersValues team dynamics and inputsCommitment drivenBias for action What you’ll Bring Master’s in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar field required.At least 5 years industry experience preferably in Payments, eCommerce, Risk, Financial Services, or similar space.Ability to lead cross functional teams and prior experience working with Product and Technology teams; proven ability to influence internal / external partners and provide clear actionable insights.Advanced understanding of SQL and working with large datasetsExperience with one or more data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker etc.High proficiency with Excel based data analysis.Deep analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative, and a track record of applying these to inform effective and successful business decisions.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Knowledge of e-commerce marketplace platforms, seller payments and financial ecosystems is a plus.Understanding of risk management and fraud prevention in payments is an advantage.
