Senior Management Accountant (m/f/d)

The Role

 

To strengthen our finance team, KARL STORZ Endoscopy (UK) Ltd is seeking a Management Accountant in Dundee.

 

This role will support the Financial Controller in the accurate processing, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial records. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of accounting documentation, helping to ensure financial data is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal controls.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

 

Supervise, support, and provide guidance to a team of Accounts Assistants

• Participate in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end reporting packages

• Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes

• Prepare and provide financial reports for internal and external stakeholders

• Prepare reconciliations and perform detailed analysis of financial data

• Assist with the control and reporting of Debtors and Stock

• Code and process supplier invoices and oversee payments

• Prepare and submit VAT returns, Intrastat reporting, and statutory/statistical reports

• Review and process employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies

• Carry out administrative duties relating to procedures, contracts, and policy documentation

• Act as Concur system administrator and training provider

 

About You

 

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience

• Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and VAT

• Experience supervising or supporting junior finance staff

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient in accounting systems and MS Excel

• Experience with Concur or similar expense management systems is an advantage

Role Details

Location: Dundee (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)

Contract: FTC 12-month maternity cover

Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week, Monday-Friday)

Salary: £40,000 to £48,000 p.a.DOE
