About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Logistics Procurement Specialist to join our European team. This role is key to driving strategic procurement initiatives across warehousing, transportation, and distribution networks in Europe. You will be responsible for managing tenders, negotiating contracts, developing category strategies, and collaborating on cross-functional and global projects to optimize logistics performance and spend.

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. You will join a small, experienced team of three, working closely with the Hiring Manager. The role requires independence, maturity, and a pragmatic mindset, as not all aspects of the role are fully structured and data availability can sometimes be limited.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support tenders for warehousing, transportation, and distribution networks across EuropeParticipate in global ocean freight tendersConduct RFQs and manage supplier selection processesOptimize service levels while balancing cost efficiencyLead contract negotiations and drive cost-out initiatives, including improving commercial and payment termsBuild and manage strong relationships with external logistics partners (3PLs, 4PLs, warehouses, customs brokers)Consolidate financial and cost-driving data for reporting and analysisSupport and work with procurement tools and systems such as SAP, Coupa, SFDC, and tendering softwareDevelop and execute category strategies for logistics spendContribute to the European logistics procurement strategyParticipate in cross-functional and internal procurement projectsSupport team goals and initiatives to continuously improve procurement processes

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)Minimum 10 years of experience in operational logistics procurement and/or logistics operations, preferably within a European scopeStrong knowledge of European logistics, including groupage transport, warehousing operations, and transport service providersExperience with storage and transportation of hazardous goods is preferredProven ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results without close supervisionStrong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailVery fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working with calculations, data analysis, and IT-based procurement toolsStrong stakeholder management skills and ability to build long-term relationshipsPragmatic mindset with the maturity to handle both strategic and operational tasksAbility to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural, and geographically distributed organizationStrong commitment to Safety First and Quality principlesWillingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%)
