YOUR ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and agile Senior Litigation and GRC (Governance Risk & Compliance) Paralegal to join our global legal team. As a member of the Employment, Litigation and GRC team, this role will provide world-class support to internal clients across the global organization. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of issues as part of a global legal team. You will support employment and litigation activities and assist with compliance matters, as well as support a diverse range of other legal matters as needed.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Oversee global litigation and dispute docket collaborating with in-house and outside counselLead all aspects of discovery and document productionManage the legal hold processManage responses to subpoenas and garnishmentsManage litigation reporting including the quarterly accruals processAnalyze litigation trends and advise on mitigationSupport all aspects of our compliance hotline reporting including intake, triage, case disposition and reportingConduct third party background checksManage team matter management processManage team objectives and metrics reportingConduct legal research on a variety of employment, compliance and regulatory topicsDraft policies and proceduresManage and support team projects in a variety of areasManage outside counsel billing processConduct training on litigation holds, compliance hotline process and other areasHigh-level team administrative supportYOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
Minimum of seven years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house with litigation focus; global experience is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite inclusive of Excel; Power BI is a plusProficient in legal matter management tools (Onit/Legal Tracker/etcetera), document management and e-discovery Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and balance competing and conflicting prioritiesProven experience working with sensitive and confidential informationContinuous improvement mindset with passion for technology in legal operationsAbility to work onsite in Troy, MI and across time zones on a global teamMust be legally able to work in the United States without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship or transfer now, or at any time in the futureWHY JOIN US?
