Job responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize high-performance software solutions for large codebase using advanced programming techniquesImplement low latency, high volume messaging frameworks to support real-time data processing and communicationDevelop and maintain efficient and scalable solutions in highly distributed, latency sensitive compute environments Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language(s) - C++, and Java concepts including low latency programming, optimized memory managementHands-on experience of low latency, high volume messaging in C++, Java, and PythonSolid understanding of low-level networking debuggingExperience in KAFKA and AWSAdvanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightPractical cloud native experienceExperience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFamiliarity with modern front-end technologiesExposure to cloud technologies
