As a Senior Lead Software Engineer - Area Tech Partner at JPMorganChase within the Consumer Branded Credit Card Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasksGain experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.Lead in creating a repeatable and extensible playbook to support launch and refresh scenarios for Card BusinessEnsures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders. Including applications of varying tech stack and maturity level.Identifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessaryShowcase prior experience with influencing across functions and teams and delivering value at scaleProvides input to cross team leadership regarding execution approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the teamApply strong Test and automation principles.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language(s) including Java, Springboot, Microservices, REST APIs, AWS etc. Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Experience at the code level, including driving game day strategy and release playbook.Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiativesAbility to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightPractical cloud native experienceExperience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
