As a Senior Lead Software Engineer in the Kubernetes product team in Infrastructure Platforms, you will join a cross-functional group that takes end-to-end responsibility for Kubernetes products at the firm.  You will be responsible for designing, engineering, and automating secure, scalable Function as a Service (FaaS) solutions across cloud platforms, leveraging modern programming languages, infrastructure automation tools, and agile development practices.

Job responsibilities

Engineer enhancements that traverse a varied software stackAutomating Infrastructure-as-code, using Terraform, VRA, ansible and other infrastructure automation toolsAutomating networking and O/S configuration from building images, configuring file system layouts and automating BGP peering up through CRI, CNI & CSI configuration for Kubernetes clustersAutomating the installation, upgrade, scaling and management of a large and rapidly growing fleet of Kubernetes clustersDevelop custom platform control plane webhooks, CRDs and operators and more that provide a secure opinionated platformDesign and develop the UI & UX and put the customer at the center 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceBeing a culture carrier for modern development practices and agile principles including disciplined refinement and story splitting, pair programming, test driven development, and clean code.Being a culture carrier for an inclusive and collaborative team-based development model that experiments and learns from setbacks.Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages, ideally including one of Go, Python, Java, Experience working with modern private & public cloud infrastructure platforms - Kubernetes, AWS EKSTerraform, Ansible and other automation toolsPassionate about learning new skills and technologies

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Experience in Infrastructure Architecture designsExperience in GCP GKE ecosystems  a plusKnowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
