Your new role
As the Key Account Manager your responsibilities will include:

Strategically manage and grow key accounts across your district or product range, ensuring alignment with overall sales objectives and maximising revenue through proactive relationship management. Build and sustain strong partnerships with wholesalers to optimise distribution, product availability, and supply chain responsiveness for priority customers. Identify, engage and influence senior decision-makers by diagnosing client business challenges and presenting tailored, value-driven solutions that address their priorities. Champion Novo Nordisk products and therapeutic-area solutions (including Obesity and MASH), driving targeted sales activities, presentations and negotiations to meet or exceed HQ sales targets. Deliver deep product expertise and actionable commercial insights providing tailored recommendations, client-specific training, and evidence-based information that increase product uptake and utilisation. Proactively communicate product launches, service enhancements and upcoming innovations to clients, maintaining engagement, fostering trust, and creating demand for new offerings.


Your new department
The Cardiometabolic Marketing division is based in Tokyo, Japan, and plays a critical role in driving Novo Nordisk's mission to improve the lives of patients. As part of this dynamic and innovative team, you will collaborate with talented colleagues and report directly to the Director of Wegovy Marketing. The department fosters a fast-paced and supportive atmosphere, where teamwork and a shared passion for making a difference are at the heart of everything we do.


Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a reliable and experienced professional who meets the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in account management or sales within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Preferred: Minimum 3 years of experience in Key Opinion Leader (KOL) management, including building and sustaining strategic relationships and engaging KOLs to support commercial and clinical objectives. Proven ability to manage key accounts and demonstrated skills in relationship-building, strategic planning, negotiation, and driving business growth through client-focused solutions. Proficiency in Japanese (required); professional-level English skills are a plus.
