Senior Java Developer
**CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Java Developer position for our client.** **Location:** Remote **Duration:** 11 months **Duties:** + Design, develop, test, and support enterprise-grade applications using the Java/JEE technology stack. + Build and maintain scalable web applications leveraging modern Java frameworks and related web technologies. + Implement transaction management, dependency injection, inversion of control (IoC), and aspect-oriented programming (AOP). + Develop and manage Java objects and integrate applications with enterprise systems and services. + Apply functional programming concepts and test-driven development (TDD) practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable code. + Utilize data access frameworks and batch processing frameworks to support complex business requirements. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-performing applications. + Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring. + Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing applications to improve performance, scalability, and reliability. **Skills:** + Strong expertise in Java and JEE technologies. + Experience with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot) and web technologies. + Knowledge of scripting or JVM-based languages such as Ruby or Groovy. + Solid understanding of dependency injection, IoC, AOP, and transaction management. + Experience with data access frameworks (e.g., Hibernate/JPA) and batch processing solutions. + Familiarity with functional programming concepts and TDD. + Proficiency with DevOps methodologies and tools (CI/CD, build automation, containerization). + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment. **Experience:** + 7+ years of professional application development experience using Java and related web technologies. + Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications in complex environments. **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
