Senior International Trade Compliance Manager
**Job Description Summary** The Senior International Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing GE HealthCare's export and sanctions compliance program to ensure adherence to all applicable international trade regulations and laws. This role is critical in mitigating export control and sanctions risks and facilitating global business operations. **Job Description** **Roles & Responsibilities:** + Design, implement, and maintain export and sanctions compliance programs, including policies, procedures, and internal controls, aligned with U.S., EU, UK and other relevant international trade regulations. + Lead ITC support for expansion of trade compliance automation in Oracle GTM and through identification and adoption of AI tools and processes. + Collaborate closely with legal counsel, sales, service, engineering, supply chain, and other internal departments to integrate export/sanctions compliance requirements into business processes. + Act as ITC lead on global cross-functional team projects, working often under tight deadlines. + Provide oversight to export licensing and export classification programs; prepare and submit export license applications, export classification requests, and other necessary government authorizations, as required. + Develop and deliver comprehensive export compliance training programs for employees across various departments, ensuring a high level of awareness and understanding of export control and sanctions requirements. + Conduct regular risk assessments of global operations, identifying potential export control vulnerabilities and developing strategies to mitigate these risks effectively. + Represent the company in discussions with government agencies, industry groups, and internal/external auditors regarding export and sanctions compliance matters, as required. **Required Qualifications:** + Education: Bachelor's degree in International Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred. + Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in export compliance, with a strong emphasis on U.S. export regulations (EAR, OFAC). + In-depth knowledge of U.S. export control regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and OFAC sanctions programs, and experience with global export and sanctions regimes (EU, UK and other). + Proven expertise in commodity classifications, ECCN determinations, and managing export license application programs. **Desired Characteristics:** + Experience within the medical device, healthcare, or high-tech manufacturing industry is highly desirable. + Prior experience with implementation and use of global trade automation, preferably Oracle GTM, is highly desired. + Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive compliance initiatives. + Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines and KPIs in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to business operations. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compliance requirements to diverse audiences. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
