Job Title: Senior International AccountantJob Description
The Senior International Accountant will be responsible for supporting core accounting functions, including consolidations and eliminations, reconciliations, and key management reporting packages. The role involves providing support to the tax team and engaging in ad-hoc projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, be a strategic thinker, and have the ability to coordinate activities and projects in a multinational context. This position may require travel outside the US and necessitates flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor accounting practices and workflows, ensuring compliance and consistency during the month-end close process.
+ Perform necessary reconciliations between various systems on a timely basis while developing local staff.
+ Support tax compliance and maintain supporting documentation such as inter-company agreements and Transfer Pricing documentation in collaboration with the tax team.
+ Assist the FP&A team by acquiring and preparing information needed for performance analysis.
+ Drive improvements in processes or policies, identify accounting issues, and assist in resolving these issues.
Essential Skills
+ Strong understanding of full cycle accounting, audit, and international tax principles.
+ Proficiency in reconciliation and international accounting standards such as IFRS.
+ High attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
+ Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and good judgment.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
+ Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
+ Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
+ CPA and Public Accounting experience preferred.
+ Multinational Corporate Accounting Experience preferred.
+ Experience with large-scale ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Blackline preferred.
+ 5 or more years of general accounting experience, preferably in the legal or service industry.
+ Experience working with colleagues in Europe or Asia preferred.
+ Proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Exceptional computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn new software applications such as PIVOT and VLOOKUP.
Work Environment
The position involves working from 9 AM to 5 PM, five days a week in the office. The work environment is collaborative, encouraging teamwork and communication across various levels of the organization.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miramar, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
