Senior International Accountant

Job Title: Sr International Accountant

Job Description

The Sr International Accountant will be responsible for supporting core accounting functions, with additional responsibilities including consolidations, eliminations, reconciliations, key management reporting, tax team support, and ad-hoc projects. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, be a strategic thinker, and possess the ability to coordinate activities and projects in a multinational context. This role requires a strong team player-coach who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a solid understanding of full-cycle accounting, audit, and international tax principles. Clear communication, process understanding, efficiency, and quality of work are emphasized. Collaboration with local accountants and the tax group to find optimal solutions is encouraged and expected. This position may require travel outside the US, and candidates must be flexible to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Monitor accounting practices and workflows, ensuring compliance and consistency during the month-end close process.Perform timely reconciliations between internal and local statutory systems while developing local staff.Support tax compliance and maintain supporting documentation, including inter-company agreements and Transfer Pricing documentation, with the tax team.Assist the FP&A team by acquiring and preparing information for performance analysis.Drive improvements in processes or policies, identify and resolve accounting issues.Provide outstanding client service and meet or exceed client expectations.Establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Essential Skills

Reconciliation and international accounting expertise.Proficiency in IFRS.Understanding of AP workflow and related FX and tax implications.Experience with ERP systems and related FX and tax implications.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Effective time management and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.Excellent problem-solving skills and good judgment.Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.CPA and Public Accounting experience preferred.Experience in multinational corporate accounting preferred.Experience with large-scale ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.5 or more years of general accounting experience with strong analytical abilities.Experience in the legal or service industry preferred.Experience working with colleagues in Europe or Asia is a plus.Proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Exceptional skills with PIVOT and VLOOKUP.

Work Environment

The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule with working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, based in an office environment. The role may require flexibility for overtime and possible travel outside the US.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miramar, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
