CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Integration Engineer – Healthcare Portals & APIs position for our client. Location: Remote Duration: 10 months Duties: Design, develop, and support integration solutions for healthcare Employer and Broker portals. Build, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs and services, including FHIR-standard APIs, to support healthcare data exchange. Implement event-driven and service-oriented architectures to enable scalable, resilient integrations. Develop and manage microservices-based solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices for scalability, performance, and security. Configure and manage API Gateway solutions (including Apigee) for API lifecycle management, security, and monitoring. Implement and support messaging and streaming integrations using Kafka. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, architecture, QA, DevOps) in Agile and Waterfall SDLC environments. Perform database design, development, and integration across relational and NoSQL platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and performance issues in production and non-production environments. Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, data privacy, and security requirements. Skills: Mandatory: Prior Employer and Broker Portal experience in the healthcare domain. Strong expertise in RESTful APIs, FHIR-standard APIs, and web services. Deep knowledge of event-driven and service-oriented architecture patterns. Hands-on experience with microservices architecture principles, including scalability and continuous integration. Experience with API Gateway technologies, including Apigee. Kafka integration and messaging experience. Database experience with MongoDB (NoSQL), PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, PL/SQL, and DB2. Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall SDLC environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Experience: 7+ years of experience in systems integration, API development, or middleware engineering. Demonstrated experience integrating healthcare systems, portals, and APIs. Proven track record of delivering complex integration solutions in enterprise environments. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
