Senior IAM Systems Engineer, Automation & Platform Enablement (Global Security)

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We seeking a highly skilled Senior IAM Systems Engineer (Automation & Platform Enablement) to support and advance our enterprise Identity and Access Management capabilities within a regulated banking environment. This role is primarily focused on designing and implementing automation, building standardized and reusable IAM pipelines, and enabling cross-team efficiency through modern DevSecOps practices.

The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on engineering experience, a deep understanding of IAM concepts, and the ability to work across multiple teams to introduce scalable automation patterns. Experience with Auth0 is considered an asset; however, the primary emphasis is on automation, engineering discipline, and platform integration rather than product administration alone.

This is an individual contributor role with the expectation to lead by influence, guiding teams toward standardized IAM automation while partnering closely with enterprise DevOps and platform functions.

What will you do?

IAM Engineering & Automation- Design, build, and maintain automated IAM workflows and pipelines to support identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, and policy enforcement.

Develop reusable IAM automation frameworks that can be adopted across multiple teams and platforms.

Implement automation using Python, GitHub Actions, and other enterprise-approved tooling.

Integrate IAM solutions with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure platforms in a secure and scalable manner

Platform & Pipeline Standardization- Establish standard IAM pipeline patterns, templates, and best practices aligned with enterprise DevSecOps standards.

Contribute to the evolution of IAM-as-code practices, including configuration versioning, testing, and promotion across environments.

Support containerized and cloud-native IAM integrations, with working experience in OpenShift environments

Cross-Team Enablement & Collaboration Act as a technical enabler across teams, supporting adoption of standardized IAM automation patterns.

Partner with the enterprise DevOps / Center of Excellence teams, leveraging their toolsets and processes where applicable.

Security & Compliance- Ensure IAM automation aligns with banking regulatory requirements and internal security controls.

Embed security, auditability, and traceability into IAM pipelines and automation workflows.

Support secure secrets handling, artifact promotion, and policy enforcement using enterprise tooling.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

7+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management, security engineering, or platform engineering with past experience with IAM automation

Strong hands-on experience building automation using Python

Minimum of 2 years of development or DevOps experience, including scripting/programming (Python, Shell, Java), infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible), and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).

Experience working with container platforms, including OpenShift.

Solid understanding of IAM concepts, including authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle, and access governance.

Experience integrating IAM solutions into complex enterprise environments.

Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence without direct authority.

Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Nice-to-have:

Experience with Auth0 (configuration, integration, or automation).

Familiarity with artifact repositories such as Artifactory.

Experience working in a regulated banking or financial services environment.

Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code approaches.

Experience contributing to enterprise automation standards or platforms.

Experience with API integration (RESTful APIs) and microservices architectures.

General exposure to networking/security technologies such as load balancers (F5, GTM, LTM), firewalls, SSL certificates, and Single Sign-On (SSO) systems.
