Senior HVAC Technician
**Job Title: Lead HVAC Technician** Job Description Perform HVAC/R service and maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance, safety, and operational efficiency across facilities. Apply current HVAC/R knowledge to improve action plans and guide others. Complete service tasks using company policies, data, and collaboration. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R systems, EMS, and digital controls. Conduct preventive maintenance and manage workloads with external providers. Responsibilities + Perform HVAC/R service and maintenance tasks with a focus on compliance, safety, and operational efficiency. + Utilize HVAC/R expertise to enhance action plans and provide guidance. + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R systems, including EMS and digital controls. + Conduct preventive maintenance and collaborate with external providers to manage workloads. + Track refrigerant levels and parts usage, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. + Order and manage HVAC/R parts and supplies, maintaining supplier and contractor relationships. + Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations, including building codes and indoor air quality standards. + Follow OSHA and EPA guidelines, including refrigerant reclamation. + Model ethical behavior and company values in daily operations. Essential Skills + Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC service, mechanical field service, and maintenance. + Proficiency in HVAC/R, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. + Strong documentation skills, electrical knowledge, and customer service abilities. + Experience in installation, preventive maintenance, and air conditioning systems. + Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or a construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or a construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or a related field. + Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Valid Driver's license and clean driving record. + Ability to work flexible shifts. + Must pass a skills assessment test. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a service technician role that involves traveling between retail and distribution locations. A service van and tools will be provided. The position requires moving through narrow and confined spaces, as well as navigating sloping, uneven surfaces. Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures, extreme weather conditions, and heights, including roofs and scaffolding. Shifts are flexible and may include overnight hours. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Providence, Rhode Island. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
