Our client, a leading healthcare organization in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a **Senior Grant Accounting** **Specialist** to join their team. As a Senior Grant Accounting Specialist, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting both the Core Accounting and Grants Compliance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset. This is a 6+ month contract position with the potential to convert to direct hire.
**Job Title: Senior Grant Accounting Specialist**
**Location:** Hybrid in greater Seattle, WA (2-3 days/week onsite)
**Pay Rate:** $45 – $60/hour (W2, based on experience)
**What’s the Job?**
+ Provide advanced GAAP, nonprofit fund accounting, and grant accounting support.
+ Maintain day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with organizational and grant requirements.
+ Mentor and support staff accountants in technical accounting areas.
+ Assist with financial reporting, grant tracking, and audit preparation.
+ Support peak project months by ensuring accurate and timely accounting workflows.
**What’s Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of nonprofit fund accounting and GAAP principles.
+ Experience with grant accounting and compliance processes.
+ Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
